Mental Health Services Pathway

There are several ways you can access support at our hospital for mental health care, but to get started, you need a referral to a Psychiatrist with admitting rights to Fullarton Clinic. You can either ask your GP for a referral to one of our Doctors or contact our intake team, who will connect you with a Psychiatrist. Next, you will complete an initial assessment, which will determine the most appropriate care pathway based on your individual needs and mental health goals.

The diagram below outlines a typical entry pathway for Fullarton Clinic Mental Health Services. However, this may be adjusted to suit your personal circumstances—for example, if you are travelling from interstate for treatment and are unable to attend the Day Program after Inpatient care.

Our purpose-built,  well appointed hospital is designed for comfort with your healing in mind.

Health Screening For Chronic Disease Management

Mental health conditions can sometimes impact overall wellbeing.

As part of Fullarton Clinic’s complete care approach, we offer screening for physical health conditions that can be associated with mental health challenges — such as heart disease.

If any concerns are identified, we’ll support you to access appropriate medical care in a timely way. With your consent, we can also share outcomes with your GP to help ensure continuity of care.
